The intro song "Promised Land" is such a great origin song for Jimmy, the villain
I've been listening to it again recently, and specifically the lyrics. It kind of makes me feel sad for Jimmy. He was just a kid that was thrown into an awful world, with only a religious background to guide him after watching his dad welcome the virus favorably.
The lyrics are really good, and one line specifically
"I'm saving 50 men" sounds so similar to "I'm seven finger man" I feel like it almost has to be intentional?
I reccommend giving it a listen with the lyrics if you haven't yet, it really does tie the villain origin up so well, with only a short intro and song, we already fully understand why Jimmy ended up the way he did. It's pretty well done in my opinion.
Here's the full lyrics if you're curious.
Don't, don't go
Don't, don't go
Don't, don't go
Don't, don't go
I'm heading to the land (don't, don't go)
They call the Promised Land
I'm heading overseas (don't, don't go)
Don't come for me
Don't, don't go
Don't, don't go
Ye, ye, ye
Brother, sister
I won't have it
I'm a man with gun in hand
Don't fuck with me
Brother, sister
I won't have it
I'm a man with a gun in hand
I'm saving 50 men (this sounds SO much like "I'm seven finger man" in the actually song)
I'm treading, sinking still
I hope there's hope for me
Don't follow me
Don't follow me
Don't follow me
Don't follow me
Don't follow me
Scorpion's a working man
Taking everything that I want from it
I'm drowning in the deep
I'm going underneath
So much for the Promised Land
Don't, don't, don't go down with me
Don't go
Don't, don't go
Don't, don't go
Don't, don't go
Don't, don't go
Don't, don't go
Don't, don't go
Don't, don't go
Don't, don't go
Scorpion's a working man
I'm drowning in the deep
I'm going underneath
Headed to the Promised Land (don't, don't go)
Don't, don't, don't go down with me
Don't go
Don't, don't go
Heading to the Promised Land
Heading to the Promised Lan
