I'm stuck

When I'm at the altus plateu, what should I do, is there a main story boss like in limgrave with margit or renalla with liurnia, I also joined volcano manor and the last 2 targets are in areas I haven't explored yet, I don't want to explore volcano manor cuz I might lose the rewards from volcano manor, what should I do?
