Boys what do u mean by this?
During our JEE drop year at a very famous coaching institute, there was this extremely quiet guy in our class. He barely talked to anyone — not even the boys around him during breaks. But he constantly stared at my friend.
We used to sit on the last bench on the far end of the classroom, while he sat near the front (1st–2nd bench in the boys’ row). Every few minutes he would turn back and look at her. During breaks too, he’d keep facing our row and staring. At first we ignored it, thinking maybe he was zoning out or watching general class gossip.
But one day when I was absent, my friend deliberately changed seats 3–4 times just to check if it was actually her he was looking at. Each time, his gaze followed her. That confirmed it.
The problem was that he never actually spoke to her. Not once. In fact, whenever class ended, he would leave immediately before anyone could confront him. My friend got so uncomfortable that she started dreading the classes. Once, she even sat with some of her male friends to see his reaction, and according to her, he looked visibly disappointed.
Another day, the class was almost empty and he ended up sitting directly in front of us. My friend was giving snacks to everyone around, including him. He took the snacks from her, spoke normally with the others there — but still didn’t say a single word to her.
Months passed. Then she stopped attending classes for a while and suddenly came back a week before her birthday. One of her male friends casually mentioned her birthday in class. Two days later, that same guy silently brought a chocolate for her. She initially refused to take it, but eventually accepted because I insisted.
Much later, after JEE ended, I randomly talked to him and teased him about liking her and giving her chocolate on her birthday. And he just responded:
“Who? I don’t remember.”
That’s what makes the whole thing weird. Because for months, his constant staring made her genuinely uncomfortable and affected how she felt about attending class — yet in the end he acted like she didn’t even matter.
TL;DR:
A silent guy in our JEE coaching constantly stared at my friend for months, followed her with his eyes whenever she changed seats, acted visibly affected by who she sat with, and even gave her chocolate on her birthday — yet never spoke to her directly and later pretended he didn’t even remember her. The whole thing left her extremely uncomfortable and hating the classes.
