Pros and cons of neutering

Good morning, I have a two year old GS, and wanted to know the pros and cons of having him neutered.

I have 12 year old gs as well that wasn’t neutered but what I’m trying to avoid is my younger one to get more aggressive with age. The older one was fine until he got older and started resource guarding me. I would like not to have the same issue with my pup. My main goal is to be able to have him in public without an issues but I’m nervous about having the procedure done.

I’ve sent him to training and he attends daycare once a week to try to help with aggression with other dogs.
