RiiFFS and the affordable Arabian perfume question for 30+ fem tastes
I’m curious where this group draws the line between warm, elegant amber and “this is wearing me.” Arabian/ambery perfumes get dismissed as too loud or too sweet, but I think the dry-down is where the truth is.
I’m comparing it as a blind-buy style Arabian EDP, not posting a sponsored review. I checked the brand notes against the general note pyramids/glossaries on Fragrantica and Parfumo because amber/vanilla/floral can mean very different things depending on balance.
Tiny wear test while folding laundry and making tea: 1 spray on skin, 1 on a cotton sleeve. At 30 min, my familiar designer floral-vanilla amber felt smoother and airier; the RiiFFS leaned warmer and more resinous. At 4 hours, skin was closer than expected, but the sleeve held more sweetness and projection.
My takeaway: if you’re testing an affordable Middle Eastern-style perfume for daytime, don’t judge the opening. Do 1 spray, wait 4 hours, then decide if the cloth dry-down is polished or syrupy. For me, this reads more evening/wedding than office.
What makes this style feel elegant to you: restraint, dry-down, note balance, or packaging?
