(Honda Fit 2017) Need help figuring out how to handle key fob buttons no longer working

I realized this morning that the unlock button on my key fob for my Honda Fit 2017 no longer works. It just "locks". I tried opening it up to check, but, if anything, that may have made things worse, as the red light sometimes sticks after I use either lock or unlock button.

I tried looking into how to replace, but I'm not sure what all I'd need to do. Is there any way to keep the key and the connecting with my car and replace the buttons? Or do I need to order a whole new fob and pay a locksmith to program it? Anyone have any experience with this?
