I just had quite a jarring experience with this guy.
Contracted him about fixing structural issues in an AI belt design before production. Stated nobody else has been able to repair structure to production ready standards. Asked if he could do it. I discussed my preferred metal with him after he tried to push me toward zinc.
He didn’t engage with the design problems at all and instead pushed materials and pricing. When I clarified that the design itself needed correcting, he became dismissive and condescending, denied there were any issues, and talked down to me. I was very caught off guard by it. I didn’t proceed. Blocked him.
I was polite the whole way through, even very complimentary, up until he abruptly went off on me for... asking if he could correct the structural issues with my design before production.
Just a warning to those who may be considering him. Be careful engaging with this belt maker. Something isn't right there.
Of course, if anyone has any advice about a belt maker who can handle fixing existing belt designs, and correcting structural issues created by AI, then I'm eager to hear from you. Nobody so far has been either able or willing to do it. Which is a shame because the belt design is very nice.
