Applied to teach at the Adult High School
A job was recently posted in my district for a teacher at a school called Adult High School. I knew we had a program where students who were 17 could finish up online if they didn’t like their regular high school, but this school is actually open to anyone from 17 to 70+ who didn’t finish high school. They receive an actual high school diploma, not the GED or HISET. Each student is self-paced using SchoolsPLP online. These last five years of my career (I’m 55), I want to do something meaningful. I want to teach students who choose to be there. I want to see some maturity in the classroom. This feels like the unicorn job I was hoping to find. Has anyone worked at one?
