Do you trust expensive wine more?

I've noticed that whenever I'm choosing between wines price influences me way more than I'd like to admit. The second I see a more expensive bottle I automatically assume it has to be better somehow and then when I drink it I can feel my brain trying to convince me it tastes more refined just because of what it cost. Is this something other people actually experience? Because I've had cheaper wines I enjoyed more than expensive ones, which makes the whole thing feel a bit absurd.
