Good polish "guard" for working hands?

Hello! I am growing my nails long so I can have natural nails for my wedding. The issue is I do a lot of landscaping and moving stone and my nails always start to delaminate when they are long and I work with my hands. I wear gloves of course but looking for some extra protection from peeling. Does anyone in this fabulous community have a recommended polish that protects the nails well? It doesn't have to look good, just has to help with peeling !
