Just venting and a little confused about all this

I live in a country in the Middle East and dating where I live isn’t very straightforward

I’m trying to find a friends-with-benefits type situation something fun and simple with a guy around my age who I find attractive and at the same time someone who is emotionally and financially supportive in a real consistent way
I don’t look for something that’s only about sex, or someone I don’t feel attracted to or comfortable with

But honestly I keep getting disappointed
But what keeps happening is the same pattern: people say big things at the beginning… promises of care, attention, and support… then it turns into nothing real. Most of the time it feels like they just want one thing without any real effort or follow through

And then I see other girls online talking about gifts, trips, and being taken care of, and I can’t help but compare it to my own experience. It makes me wonder why it never works out that way for me
And I can’t lie it messes with me sometimes and affect my self-esteem even though I know it shouldn’t

I keep asking myself… am I not attractive enough? Not interesting enough? Or just not the type people actually invest in?
I don’t know if I’m the only one feeling like this, but it’s really confusing and frustrating.
I guess I’m also asking for advice… what am I supposed to do? Has anyone been through something similar and figured it out? And how do people even find what I’m looking for?
