I need your opinion lang po, first-time VA here

I currently work part-time as a Proposal Coordinator/Assistant for a commercial cleaning company. Basically I review construction PDFs/plans then create cleaning proposals from them.

Initially sinabi sakin na their usual VA rates are around $4–5/hr so I expected around that range, but later on nalaman ko na $3/hr pala talaga yung starting rate niya. Okay lang sana pero habang tumatagal parang sobrang time consuming nung workflow itself especially now na nadadagdagan yung trackers/admin side ng work. My client also did not tell me na may allocated budget lang ata, yung isang VA na na hire rin kasabay ko negotiated for a higher rate. Pero di pumayag yung client, so umalis nalang siya pero binayaran naman sa nagawa niya.

Sinabi rin niya before na paunti-unti lang tasks and ayaw niya maburn out yung VAs, pero honestly parang yung 15–30 hrs/week hindi realistic if kasama lahat nung pag save/download ng files, trackers, links, copy paste, revisions, etc. Student din kasi ako with classes and thesis. Parang hourly rate siya pero kasama outputs mo, but honestly di naman nasusunod ideal shift for the week.

Another concern ko rin is parang hindi buo binibigay yung instructions. Kahit proactive naman ako mag update and ask how my progress/work is going, sasabihin “so far so good” tapos after matapos yung week/work saka magkakaroon ng additional instructions or revisions na sana sinabi na agad from the start. I even suggested a more centralized tracker setup and nagustuhan naman niya pero preferred pa rin niya yung original tracking structure.

I got overwhelmed tonight kasi may problema pa sa bahay. Then nung Tuesday naman may inintroduce kaagad na tool, nakuha ko naman kaagad. As usual, gumawa ako proposals and all. Pero may added instruction nanaman siya after ko matapos ng dalawang araw sa proposals ko. May tinanggal siyang pito and told me to revise them, even if I always ask her about my progress every day.
