Researching: What sucks about current used car platforms?

Hey everyone,

I'm doing some research on how people shop for used cars, specifically from private sellers. I am currently shopping for a used car and the lack of information provided by sellers (missing VIN, finger over license plate, omitting important info, etc.) on different platforms is annoying. I also hate dealer posts disguised as private sellers.

I'm trying to understand if there's a market need for a platform dedicated to private sellers only that would address these issues. For transparency, this will be cross-posted to get different peoples' input.

Quick questions:

1. What's frustrated you the most about the current platforms?
2. What information do you wish you had when looking at listings?
3. If there was a better marketplace for private sellers only with better search and verified private sellers, would you use it?
