Does training in the morning change your consistency or performance?

Morning training feels like a cheat code for consistency and a penalty for performance at the same time. When I train early, there are fewer excuses because the day has not had a chance to fall apart yet. No meetings running late, no random errands, no evening fatigue turning into bargaining with myself. But performance can feel rough if I am underfed, stiff, or still half asleep while trying to convince my body that squats are a reasonable breakfast activity. I can see why people swear by it though. Even if the session is not perfect, the habit becomes harder to skip. Evening training might feel stronger, but it also has more chances to get pushed aside. For people who switched to mornings, did your consistency improve enough to offset any performance drop? Or did your body eventually adapt and start training well early?
