Back on the new timeline, where an advanced civilization exists…
Person A asked Person B if they wanted to go on a mini date. In this instance, Person B knew what the date would entail because it’s a date these two go on fairly regularly. Person B said agreeably, “I will.”
Person A said, “but do you ***WANT*** to?”
Person B said, “I always will!”
And Person A said, “That’s not the same. Wanting to go and being willing to go are two different things.”
Person B corrected and said, “I always want to!”
The matter was cleared up and so they went.
If person B *had* said no, Person A\* \*would have accepted the answer, understood it was Person B’s right to consent, and would not have felt offended or rejected had PB said no, and there would have been NO GUILT TRIP. Person A doesn’t want Person B to do things person B doesn’t want to do just because Person A asks.
