Many of my female friends turn into completely different people when in relationships, struggling to understand why
I’m an autistic gay man in my mid 20s, so sometimes social complexities are not my strong suit especially with the opposite gender. Pretty much my entire social circle is extremely liberal females. I’ve noticed especially more and more into my 20s, my female friends will go full Dr. Jekyll/ Mr. Hyde when talking to a man or being in a relationship… and it honestly freaks me the hell out because of how fake it seems from the outside…
The morals and views they hold outside relationships will suddenly disappear. A very close friend of mine literally dated a homophobic man for a year and would come up with so many excuses for him. Another would constantly fill this “trad-wife” role even though she would make fun of women who did that when she wasn’t in a relationship…
This type of say one thing outside a relationship but do the opposite inside just baffles me….. and I don’t know what to do because I want to be a supportive friend but from the outside looking in it makes me feel very disheartened that 95% of my friends engage in this weird two faced activity….
