How do you securely lock files/drives on Windows without creating another user account?

How can I securely lock/hide files and drives on Windows without creating another user account?

I occasionally let friends use my laptop, but I don’t want them accessing personal files, browser history, extra drives (D:/E:), downloads/photos/projects.

I’m using Windows Home edition.

What’s the best practical approach here?

I want something reasonably secure but not overkill.
