Chicken Farm broke after new update (Bedrock)

I originally had a standard Lava killing mechanism with stone half slab, but after the new update the eggs would make the baby chicken die in the lava, so i have tried switching to a lava cauldron, but when the chickens grow up they do not die in the lava, i tried switching half slab to grindstone and it still does not work.

What design works on bedrock in the new update?
