pls help! what matters more?

advice urgently needed!! i’m currently a hs freshman and my school takes ur freshman gpa into account; my current gpa is 3.9 uw/4.6 w and im kind of stuck with choosing my classes for next yr.

i could either take my school’s most advanced orchestra except it doesn’t have the same weighting as an AP class for sophomores, or i could take an AP history class.

for context i have been playing a string instrument for almost a decade and while it’s not my main ec i still would like to count it as an ec that i’ve invested a lot into—meanwhile an extra AP would boost my gpa next yr (i go to a rly competitive school) and i also happen to enjoy history as a subject. what should i do?? any thoughts pls??
