They are based in the UK, hold an MPH and a BSc in Biomedical Science, and have around four years of operational leadership experience across the NHS and a major public sector organisation.

Their goal is to work at a senior advisory or consultancy level with governments, ministries of health, international NGOs, multilateral organisations such as WHO, the World Bank, Africa CDC, or FCDO, or leading global health consultancies. They are not interested in staying in frontline NHS operations permanently. They want to be the person in the room helping shape health policy, designing systems, and advising decision makers at national or international level.

Therefore;

what is the most realistic and strategic path from where they are now to where they want to be?

what qualifications or credentials actually matter at that level?

which organisations are worth targeting and what kind of roles or project experience they should be actively seeking?

Any insight from people who work in or have hired for these kinds of roles would be genuinely appreciated as I see how passionate they are when they talk about their dreams.

And does anyone have any opportunities they can look to share?

Thank you
