I am tired of christians telling me that the sacrifice of Jesus's life was necessary for salvation
How can people be ok with a sacrifice of an innocent man? If you are ok with that why not sacrifice your neighbor (in Hebrew the word is friend I don't know why they changed it to neighbor, a neighbor is so much less meaningful than a companion or a friend), it says love your friend as yourself not sacrifice your friend for yourself or sacrifice yourself for your friend. Don't you see the distortion here? Anyone who ever felt sacrificed by a friend? Anyone who ever felt sacrificed by everyone in their lives? Even in Isaiah 53 (that speaks about the savior of the generation of Isaiah, not the same generation at all as Jesus, but there is a pattern here) in Hebrew it says: "and he, violated from our crimes, oppressed from our sins, hands over our well being upon him, and in his companionship-group we are healed". I don't know why translatirs found it necessary to change it into: "But he was pierced for our transgressions,
he was crushed for our iniquities;
the punishment that brought us peace was on him,
and by his wounds we are healed. "
Literally what the hell? I try to say that in Hebrew and it sounds not only hilariously ridiculous, but also totally demonic
