Sally Abed, a Palestinian member of the Haifa city council, faced abuse from her colleagues on Tuesday for speaking Arabic during a council meeting.⁠ One man is heard telling Abed to “go to Gaza”, and that “Haifa is not Arab, Haifa is Jewish” after she decided to include Arabic in her address.
