A couple things I've just noticed in book 1

Book 1: DCC

So I've read all the books so far on kindle and heard so much hype about the audio performance, decided to go through them again by audiobook (bloody outstanding narration btw). That said, I'm not worried about spoilers but careful if you haven't finished the series yet.

Just finished chapter 35 and the Krakaren boss fight and I noticed 2 things in the following conversation with Mordecai.

While talking about Odette and advising Carl not to trust her, he says "she's more self centered than the thing in the middle of the galaxy".

That got me thinking that it could be a throw away comment about Sagittarius A* or it could be something.. else. Something to be expanded on later perhaps.

He could also be referring to the centre of the galaxy as the central system and the Eulogist AI but I'm kind of hoping it'll be something more sinister and (tin foil hat time) related to the creature Juice Box shows at the end of 7 and the 'real world' idea of the nothing.

Also, completely unrelated, I love a good fourth wall break and while talking about the out of proportion stereotypes of the mobs, Carl mentions how "snakes and rats are shown as scum bags, foxes are shown as shady, used car dealers and... Persian cats are shown as princesses". Subtle and clever, nice one Matt 😘🤌
