I've never claimed before so im looking for help (South East England)

So my partner has just recently broken up with me. We live together with our child. I am potentially going to take over our mortgage because I can't lose my property. Im trying to find out if I would be entitled to any help if my partner was to move out. So I would be a single dad with 1 child. I earn 32k a year before tax and I have a mortgage with 180k outstanding I know i would be entitled to reduced council tax but that's all I know. I have used the turn2u calculator and by the figures that gave me i would be able to take on the mortgage, but I don't know if that's even accurate. I have never claimed anything before so i have no idea what im doing. Is anyone able and willing to give me some advice please?
