I have the AP Calculus AB exam on May 21, 2026 and I want to start preparing seriously. How should I begin?
Hi everyone. I’m trying to build a strong preparation strategy for AP Calc AB, but I’m confused about the best way to start.
A few questions:
- What resources helped you the most?
- Is understanding concepts more important, or should I focus mainly on problem-solving practice?
- Which units are the hardest and need the most time?
- How early should I start practicing FRQs and timed tests?
- Any YouTube channels, notes, or practice resources you recommend?
I enjoy solving math problems, but I want to make sure I prepare the “AP way” and not just learn formulas mechanically.
Would really appreciate advice from people who scored well or recently took the exam. Thanks!
