BOSS Katana Gen 3 50W 1x12 Guitar Combo

So im looking to get a new amp and wondering what you guys think of the Katana gen 3. i really like how it has the different wattage setting, High gain, i just like to jam metal, lot of lamb of god, lots of slayer. it seems like the perfect amp. looking for into it it seems i can hook it up to my PC and use Boss studios for even more cool shit.

My current situation, i have a line 6 Spyder IV thats super old Seems like Speakers are messed up sound becomes muffled every once in a while but its super old. i also have a Peavy valveking 212 combo 100w that my buddy "converted" to a head with a peavy 2x12 my guess is the speakers blew in the combo and he just rigged it. its cool but its just to big for a bedroom i think. Messing with the tone i feel like i cant crank the amp loud enough to really make good use out it and get the tone im looking for.

it might be all in my head to be honest im not sure. iv been playing a decent amount of time but Just bought a new guitar after a few years of not playing and going for the line 6 where i heavily relied on presets to the peavy feeling like its just to much for a bedroom player.. what do you guys think?
