Royal Enfield (Triumph) Dealer experience.
Working with Spirit Motorcycles in San Jose California, got a trade in value of 5600 for my 2011 Voyager 1700 ABS (Needs a new rear tire) toward a Royal Enfield 450 Mana Black Rally (Msrp of 6652).
Got an OTD after taxes, fees, and DMV registration of around 3,700 after trade in.
Fees as follows:
Transport + Setup fee - 1600 (Dealer didn't want to budge on this)
Document Processing Charge - 85
DMV Desk VITU - 37
Sales Tax - 674
|--- ^^^^^^^ = 2,396
Cali-Fees (Excluding Tax)
Vehicle License Fee - 44
Registration Fee - 205
California Tire Fee - 4
|--- ^^^^^^^ = 253
|--- Sales Total. = 9,048
|--- After Trade = 3,701 (Minus 500 Deposit 3,201. Finalizing sale today with 3200 cash then taking bike home)
Thoughts? I feel good about this, I know they could of budged more on the Setup/Transport but considering my bike is supposedly valued at KBB Private sale of 8600 and I've had it on Facebook for 6500 for 2 months and not a SINGLE bite, I'm happy to get the trade in value of 5600 considering the KBB trade in value is 5571 and my bike needs new tires. Even after a sale on Facebook, I was going to buy the Himalayan with the money anyway.
