25F in ERP consulting. What roles would suit me next?
I’ve been working as an ERP Consultant in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central for around 3 years now, and lately I’ve been thinking about switching into something a bit different but still related.
I realized the parts of work I enjoy the most are talking to people, solving their issues, understanding business processes, consulting, explaining technical stuff in simple words, and even documentation/technical writing. I genuinely enjoy helping users and clients more than sitting isolated doing only technical work all day.
I’m also a pretty creative/artistic person and naturally drawn toward aesthetics, communication, presentation, and making things feel more user-friendly and understandable.
I don’t necessarily want to completely leave this field, but I do want to pivot slightly into something that fits my personality and strengths better.
Would really appreciate advice from people who’ve moved from ERP/Business Central into adjacent roles or found a better fit within the same space.
What roles should I target? What skills would help make the transition easier? Or should I continue growing in this field itself?
And if anyone here works in similar spaces or knows companies hiring for such profiles, I’d love to connect.
Thanks :)
