Lowered pegs, now rear brake is in line with peg and just outside my usual toe placement... is this a safety issue?
I just lowered the foot pegs for comfort with scrambler pegs. Both the gear lever and the rear brake are in the factory position, meaning that with the lowered and slightly more forward pegs, they aren't slightly below but are now in line with the pegs. For the gear lever, I was about to lower it but it seems to work just fine.
The brake lever too is pretty convenient for activating... it's actually wonderful for using it as I often to slow the bike going straight into a traffic stop and giving my front brake a chance to cool a bit. But that could be a safety issue.
I normally ride with my brake foot back a bit further on the peg but in the same position, it's in line with and about only an inch forward and outside the brake lever. Though I have to think to activate it, what's to say my toe doesn't find it's way there in a turn once and I lose grip on the rear?
What do you think? Is it as big a safety threat that I think? What can I do to lower it if so?
