Still thinking about wanting to serve…1 year later
Hi guys! I posted a ton last year and even took the AFOQT back in August/September 2025 (I cant remember the specific date, you can search my post history in this sub or r/airforceots). At the time I had just been prescribed Wellbutrin but it’s been a month since I’ve stopped taking it and my psychiatrist has approved this as well. After joining the OTS FB group I also realized how challenging it was, and my recruiters were kinda hard to reach.
I’m still in regular talk therapy, only once a month though. (Do I need to stop this?)
Career-wise, I’ve been working part time in an admin support role at a chamber of commerce. My “internship” ends in July and I have an interview lined up today. I’ll be applying to others as well.
26F, Bachelors in non-STEM (psych & film) with a 3.6 graduating GPA. I’m in Texas.
I’ve been talking to various people about still wanting to serve (including a current Army officer who’s in my sorority - she wants to make sure I know my why but she is rooting for me). Should I consider something like the reserves or national guard instead? And I’m open to non- Air Force!! The Navys recently been knocking on my door on email AND Instagram lol but I am not an open seas person at all. Please advise!! Thanks guys <3
