What do people mean when they say idols should be held accountable?
I’ve only been into kpop for around 2-ish years, and honestly only started interacting with online fandom spaces a few months ago. Sorry if it's a bit dumb but I’ve noticed this phrase used a lot in discussions, saying that idols should be “held accountable” for their actions but what does it actually look like in practice?
Does it mean you stop supporting them completely, like unfollowing them or no longer listening to their music? Or is it more like acknowledging their wrongdoing while still choosing to follow them anyway? Or something else?
Don't get me wrong btw, I’m not asking this in a defensive way, I’m genuinely just trying to understand how people view this because it gets used so often.
