What stocks could see significant upside from the new hantavirus situation?
Not trying to spread panic, just looking at this from a market perspective.
If the hantavirus situation keeps getting media attention, what public companies or sectors could realistically benefit?
A few that came to mind:
PPE / mask manufacturers
Pest control companies
Cleaning & sanitation suppliers
Diagnostic testing / biotech firms
Hospital equipment & medical supply companies
Consumer staples if people start panic-buying again, because apparently society learned absolutely nothing from 2020 except how to hoard toilet paper faster.
Are there any specific tickers with meaningful exposure here, or is hantavirus too limited geographically to create a real trade opportunity?
Interested in both serious answers and historical comparisons to how markets reacted to prior health scares.
