Marty's final quest is gone?

I am in Summer year 3, and after completing the quest to >!restore the fae's memories!<, I might've screwed myself over by not triggering Marty's quest in time.

He showed up on my farm in Spring with a exclamation mark for what I'm assuming is the new familiar quest, but I went to talk to him and selected his regular dialogue first, then afterwards the exclamation was just gone?! And he just walked off back to his ranch.

I tried waiting a couple days for it to come back before changing the season to summer, but it never came back. Is it just gone forever? Because that would be devastating...

Anyone had run into this issue and do you know if there's any way for me to re-trigger it? Do I have to go all the way to Spring year 4?
