It's finally clicked for me, I love The Beatles.

Discussion

Im approaching 35 this year, and have always been defiantly opposed to The Beatles. I was raised on hip-hop, r&b, hard rock and metal (crazy combo). However my girlfriend has always been a big fan for some time, she's 6 years younger than me and has phenomenal taste in music. Anyways she has always played The Beatles and there were times where i liked the music but i never really *listened*. Well recently we watched Let It Be documentary and holy smokes man what an awesome documentary.

I had no idea who they were, their personalities, or the differences between the members. They are so cool, I thoroughly enjoyed watching them. My girlfriend being the super fan that she is helped me with the context throughout which was very helpful.

Anyways, I have gone DEEP and really hearing all these songs for the first time. Dude, The Beatles rip. Just to fire off a few of my favorite songs in no order:

I'll Be Back

I Want To Hold Your Hand

This Boy

Honey Don't

What Goes on

Do You Want To Know A Secret

Im Only Sleeping

She Loves You

If I Fell

And Your Bird Can Sing

Act Naturally

Baby's In Black

When Im Sixty Four

Blue Jay Way

These are just to name some lol. I absolutely love the first three albums, very easy for me to listen to them on repeat. Im now getting into the more technical albums. Like Sgt Peppers and Magical Mystery Tour etc. I still haven't fully listened to Abbey Road yet. I love Let It Be. I know that I really love almost all of Ringo's songs. I love his folk/country style (if thats what its known as). Anyways, we have watched Anthology now as well. Im a big fan lol. My gf's brother in law made a pretty deep chronological playlist also that has been great for discovery.

I just wanted to say Beatles Mania caught up to me and wanted to geek out with some fellow fans.
