Getting crushed by my quota AMA

I am an AE for a Consulting and Software Dev startup partnered with a hyperscaler. AE / BD role. Left a very comfy AM role with $200k guaranteed to learn a new industry, trade in office for remote work and $250k OTE.

Shortly after I join a VC whispers sweet nothings about 4x revenue growth YoY to our founder and how we could raise at 10-15x revenue multiplier. Quota doubles overnight, commission structure changes from flat fee to quota milestones.

I hit 50% of my goal in Q1, will be lucky if I can get to 50% again in Q2. On my original plan I would be at or close to target. Comp this year will likely be $50k less than what I left. I am completely demoralized.

AMA!
