NBA Blew It

Forget all the ridiculous non-calls or the fact that Oklahoma City fouls on every possession. Forget the fact that the Lakers are doing things themselves to lose the games, and they’re just not as deep, leading to them getting tired and Oklahoma City pulling away at the end of every game. That ridiculous play by Chad Holmgrem, where he pretended to be punched in the face by Mike Tyson when DeAndre Ayton grazed his chest after Chet Homlgoon pulled his arm into the chest, was an opportunity by the league to assess a flopping technical foul along with a best acting academy award Oscar, to send a message, any kind of message. The NBA blew it. The play was under review for five minutes, it was easy to see that Chet Holmgoony was faking it, they easily should have not only reversed the call on DA, which they did, but also assessed a technical foul and two free throws to the Lakers for flopping plus the ball. Instead, this is the type of play fans are going to get to watch, child ball by the Oklahoma City Floppers. Don’t get me wrong, OKC is a great team, but they are beatable, and they should be beatable, or at least it should be a fair fight, and the NBA has to do its part to get their flopping out of the game. This was a chance to send that message, and the league blew it.

That was embarrassing Chet Holmflopper, and if he ever thinks that he’s going to be considered a great center, he’s not, he’s gonna be considered a weak ass floppy lanky unethical center for the rest of his career because he’s learning how to play the wrong way. And the NBA is enabling this.
