21f and 21m, going to japan for the first time, looking for advice and recommendations

Hello!! I’ m going to japan for the first time for my 21st birthday for a week and I want some advice on where to go. I’m going with my best friend, my parents are paying for the plane tickets as well as where we stay, and my budget for the week will be about $2000 per person. I’m super into anime and manga so i’d like to go to places that revolve around that and also places that sell anime figures. I’m a big foodie so i’d also like recommendations on good local places to eat. I am thinking about spending 3-4 days in a city atmosphere and then another 3-4 days in one of the rural parts of japan. so I’d like good ideas of things to do in the city (any city, I haven’t decided which one im going to yet) such as aquariums and bars/clubs to go to and I’d like good recommendations of rural areas to go to as well as things to do in those areas revolving around traditional japanese culture and nature. Any advice is appreciated!!
