Lamps equipped on back not working for some reason

As the title says, when I equip a lamp on my curio back slot, it simply doesn't work properly, it lights on and off constantly at a seemingly random pattern... I have a Bismuth Bronze Lamp completely fueled with Seed Oil made from Canola. If this matters, I perfectly forged it.
