I finished S40 of survivor after binging all 40 seasons with no spoilers, having avoided searching or reading a single thing on the internet about the show. I am curious to hear what everyone thinks of Tony's winning game, which I instantly and by far consider to be the greatest ever played.

Winners at War

As the title says, I have managed to get here without really reading anything, so I'm curious to get some perspective and learn things I didn't know from you guys. I planned to keep this up until 50 but I was so fascinated by WaW and especially the finale that I had to finally jump in.

First of all, from my point of view, Tony had to play the greatest game ever; It wasn't any normal game, it wasn't just all winners, but basically he had to play the most disadvantaged game ever.

While it is a top 5-10 season for me, I thought Edge of Extinction and the fire tokens were a disaster. Natalie was voted out FIRST, never had to go through any more tribal councils and came back with an idol, stat-padded tokens and advantages for the longest time since she was voted first, and for the same reason had the longest time and opportunity to know the jurors, get inside info on what's going on in the game for weeks and weeks, a chance to control the narrative going back.

Even Michele who played a GREAT game and should've been second also benefitted from fire tokens from the edge

Throughout the game all Tony got was disadvantages, whether being personally extorted for SIX tokens, or by having to face other contestants receiving advantages from EoE, before having Natalie who tried to eliminate him from EoE spawn with her Idol with 2 tribals left

That sounds ridiculous enough, but this guy did it receiving ZERO votes, not a single one, entering the game with a top 5 threat level (at the very least)... AND, while still being box office entertainment!!

I'm very excited to discuss more seasons and more specifics, but I'd like to know what you guys think of WaW?

What did everyone think of Natalie's "game" and how EoE was structured?

How is Tony's game regarded by the community?

What are some fun facts or inside information about the season that I should know? as I still plan to avoid searching and getting survivor into my algorithm until I've finished the remaining seasons
