Sounds insane but I think my peanut butter cup had a tiny bit of cocaine on it? What do I do
Hey reddit, I feel like a paranoid idiot.
I'm 32, had a few wild years not that long ago with hard partying and such. I've mellowed and love a somewhat normal life
Cut to today, I'm going through my candy jar and find a sealed, wrapped peanut butter cup made by a health food brand. I eat them all the time, they're a staple in my house. We buy them in bulk. This peanut butter cup immediately when biting into it had a familiar flavor - coke. It was so jarring and weird. I knew raw cacao could be bitter and I used to even eat cacao nibs and throw them in yogurt but I genuinely think this is coke??
My extremities got cold and my nose started running like 10 minutes afterwards. There's no way I just ate a coke laced candy, right? Coke is expensive, this is a successful company. Shit like this doesn't happen!!
I guess it's a nonzero chance but the taste has lingered in the back of my throat and on my lips. It has a cooling sensation still and my lips are extremely bitter. Even tasted my hands and hand sanitizer to make sure I wasn't tasting something else.
What should I do? Wait it out? Get drug tested (somewhere?) keep the open wrapper in a Ziploc and send it for testing? Contact the company??
I have not had coke around me in a really long time. I do feel alert after feeling really sleepy all morning. There's no way this is real and it has to be just anxiety
