Why are hens such jerks?

Explain to me why when my rooster is getting a squabble it's over in just a few seconds, and no other rooster gets involved between the two that are squabbling, but if my hans get in a squabble It can go on for several minutes, and all of the hens have to get involved in a squabble that started with just two, and they usually end up ganging up on one of the hans that got in a squabble, regardless of which one it is they will still gang up on it, it's like they pick who they want to defend that day and who they want to hate, and when my roosters try to break it up they turn on them, why are hens such jerks? I wish roosters laid eggs because I had rather have a rooster flock than hens at this point😤
