DJI or HDZero

Hi Everyone,

Looking for some advice on my first FPV build.

I’ve been flying DJI drones for close to 10 years now (started with the Phantom 3), and I’ve always wanted to dive deeper into FPV. A couple years ago I bought an Avata 2 and learned some basic acro before returning it because I wasn’t sure what was going to happen with the whole DJI ban situation. Since then I’ve also spent quite a few hours in sims, so I’m pretty comfortable flying FPV at this point.

Fast forward to now, and I’m really interested in getting into both FPV racing and cinematic flying, but I’m struggling to decide which direction to go with my setup. Budget isn’t really a concern right now (to a certain extent). I’m very familiar with DJI and have always appreciated how reliable their ecosystem is, but the uncertainty around future support has me looking into HDZero as well.

For someone who’s kind of new/not so new to the hobby, would HDZero be a solid option for cinematic flying too? Especially in situations where I might be surrounded by trees, buildings, or other obstacles? Or would the DJI digital system still outperform there?
