Is my friend stalking me?

Hey everyone! I have a weird question and I’m not sure if I’m overthinking or not.
For context, my friend and I have been friends for around 5 years and we play video games together a lot. Usually they’ll message me 2/3 times asking if I want to play, and if I say no because I have work or I’m busy, they normally say okay and leave it at that.
But I started noticing something weird. Whenever I say I’m not playing, then later get on my PC just to watch YouTube or Netflix or something, they suddenly start spamming me. Like 7-8 messages, multiple phone calls, Discord calls, pictures saying let’s goo or let’s get these dubs etc.
What feels odd to me is
I’ve already told them before that I don’t like being spammed.
I’m not even gaming when this happens, just using my PC.
At first I thought it was a coincidence, but it started happening almost every time. So I signed out of Discord, appeared offline on Steam and battle net.
Then I tested it for about a week. I’d say no to playing, and they’d send the usual few messages then stop. But whenever I randomly logged onto my PC later, I’d suddenly start getting spam calls/messages again. That’s when I started feeling suspicious and uncomfortable.
One more thing this friend got me a PC for my birthday that was built by someone else. When I brought up how weird this all felt they got really defensive and said just send it back to them.
I honestly don’t know if I’m overreacting or if this would make other people uncomfortable too. I’d appreciate honest thoughts. ( will delete after I get some responses)
