Why do people like Rick and Morty so much?

This show actually sucks. I watched every single episode in 2023 (so I haven't watched the new seasons), and at the time, I didn't think anything of it. It was just kinda whatever. But now, I just can't help but be absolutely disgusted by the entire show. One of the main things that bothers me is Rick and Morty's relationship. It's incredibly toxic and painful to watch. It's literally an incredibly toned down version of an abusive relationship. Rick just shoves Morty around and Morty, for some stupid reason, doesn't end the relationship. He deserves better. I don't think any show should be promoting this kind of relationship. I was in an abusive relationship similar to this a few years back and I almost lost my family.

The other thing that bothers me is that there's a lot of graphic images of blood and boobs (like in boob land or whatever it's called), and in general there's a lot of references to porn and masterbating and stuff, and it just kinda grosses me out.

And the comedy isn't even funny for the most part. Some scenes are funny, but it's not enough to make up for everything I mentioned above. I believe Southpark and Gumball are way better shows to watch. Southpark and Gumball are actually funny, and Gumball's relationship with Darwin is cute and healthy. The brotherly dynamic is really sweet. Anyway, it feels good to get this out of my system. Rant over
