BJP's influence (Theory)

🔥 Rant

TVK’s victory in Tamil Nadu feels questionable , and here’s why.

I believe TVK could only have achieved such a massive victory if BJP had indirectly supported its rise politically or through possible system-level influence. According to this theory, if EVM manipulation were theoretically possible, it would work more effectively with a party like TVK that already had strong public popularity and a large voter base, rather than trying to artificially turn BJP itself into a dominant force in Tamil Nadu overnight. Again, this is purely a political theory and personal suspicion based on patterns and probability — not proven fact or verified evidence.

MGR was one of the biggest stars Tamil Nadu had ever seen. He already had political experience as an MLA and created a massive political wave across Tamil Nadu and even Pondicherry. Yet, with around 33% vote share, he won about 130 seats.

Now compare that to Vijay and TVK. Vijay did not even campaign heavily in many constituencies, yet TVK reportedly won more than 100 seats with a higher vote share. That naturally raises doubts for many people.

Many TVK supporters are saying that Tamil Nadu was swept by a “Vijay wave.” But what a real political wave looks like was already seen during MGR’s time. His influence reached every corner of Tamil Nadu across all age groups. Even then, his victory numbers and vote share still followed a believable political pattern.

Tamil Nadu has always had multiple superstar fan bases. Not every actor’s fans would automatically support TVK. Many fans of other actors may have voted for DMK or ADMK just to prevent TVK from winning. A large number of older and politically experienced voters may also still prefer established parties over a newcomer with no administrative experience.

There is also Superstar and Ulaganayagan who supports DMK, both of whom have massive influence among older generations too. Imagine the strength of their fan base alone, especially among the 50–60+ age group. That is another reason why people find it difficult to believe that almost the entire state suddenly shifted politically toward one actor.

Another thing that creates suspicion is the counting pattern. During postal ballot counting, DMK was reportedly leading in several places. Once EVM counting started, TVK’s numbers rose rapidly. I am not saying this proves manipulation, but it is one reason why many people are questioning the results and demanding stronger VVPAT verification.

Pondicherry is another point that people bring up. Some argue that if there was truly a massive “Vijay wave” across the Tamil population, TVK should have performed much better there too. Instead, TVK reportedly struggled badly in Pondicherry, where NDA is already politically strong. Because of this, some people believe BJP may prefer Vijay as a politically useful face in Tamil Nadu rather than treating him like a real opposition threat.

Kolathur is another example. Stalin has spent years developing the constituency through housing schemes, road development, drainage systems, water facilities, school modernization, libraries, and regular constituency visits. Because of that, some people find it difficult to believe that voters there would suddenly reject him completely for a newcomer party without governance experience.

BJP’s earlier attempts to enter Tamil Nadu through alliances and leaders like Annamalai did not succeed. Their alliance attempts with ADMK also did not produce the expected political growth. Because of that, some people believe BJP may now prefer entering Tamil Nadu indirectly through a popular face like Vijay instead of directly through its own party.

Some theories online even claim that EVM manipulation, if possible, may only work within certain limits and cannot create impossible vote swings from very low numbers. Whether that theory is true or not, it is one of the reasons people continue discussing the possibility of EVM misuse.

An IAS officer once reportedly said:

“Any system with software can potentially be compromised.”

Again, this does not prove anything directly, but it adds to public suspicion.

Another thing that people noticed is that Prime Minister Modi, who usually visits Tamil Nadu frequently during elections, was not very active in Tamil Nadu this time. At the same time, BJP leaders appearing more welcoming toward TVK after the results has also increased speculation among political observers.

The Karur incident also created controversy. Critics argue that Vijay failed to properly control the crowd, which reportedly led to deaths and injuries. They also question why central agencies like the CBI did not take stronger action afterward.

When Vijay later released a response video, some people felt he focused more on attacking DMK politically instead of fully taking responsibility for the tragedy. Critics believe a leader should first accept responsibility instead of immediately turning a tragedy into a political attack.

The divorce rumours also affected Vijay’s public image. Supporters say his personal life should not be connected with politics. Critics, however, argue that a person who struggles to maintain stability and loyalty in personal relationships may not necessarily be trustworthy in leadership either.

Some people also feel that Vijay’s speeches sound more like movie dialogues than political leadership. Delivering punch dialogues, directly attacking opponents, and making cinematic statements may entertain crowds, but governing a state requires administrative experience, policy knowledge, and political maturity.

Some people arguing these theories believe that even if manipulation were theoretically possible, it could not instantly turn a very weak party into a massive winner without becoming statistically obvious. According to this view, a party would still need a strong existing voter base first. That is why such theories focus more on TVK rather than directly boosting K. Annamalai or fully reviving All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam, since BJP’s independent vote base in Tamil Nadu has historically remained limited. Again, this is speculation, not proven fact.

At the same time, I am not saying DMK is perfect. DMK also has corruption allegations and controversial leaders. My point is simply that replacing one flawed system with another may not necessarily bring real change.

Personally, I feel parties like NTK at least focus more on long-term ideas like agriculture, Tamil identity, reducing dependency on freebies, and infrastructure development. Even if their manifesto is difficult to fully implement, their intentions appear clearer to me.

Their idea of: “Teach a man to fish instead of giving him fish” is something I personally respect more than excessive freebie politics.

Seeman also speaks strongly about Tamil language and agriculture, which have always been important parts of Tamil Nadu’s identity and economy. He has never clearly said that he would ignore IT development or industrial growth; he has mainly said he would focus more on agriculture.

Yes, NTK also has flaws. Some leaders have faced allegations, and Seeman himself has made controversial speeches. But speaking continuously in public for years can naturally lead to mistakes and contradictions. No political party is completely clean.

I also strongly oppose any attempt to turn India into a religion-based nation. India’s strength has always been its unity in diversity. Religion and caste should never become tools to divide people politically.

(Which is kind of a BJP manifesto)

Politics is often analyzed through probability, statistics, and historical voting patterns — not just popularity or emotions. Tamil Nadu has long been dominated by strong party structures like Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam and All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam, and even leaders like M. G. Ramachandran and J. Jayalalithaa built their success gradually through alliances, welfare politics, and years of groundwork.

Because of this, some observers feel that a completely new party suddenly winning a very high number of seats appears statistically unusual, though statistical improbability alone cannot be treated as proof of manipulation since political waves can also happen due to anti-incumbency, celebrity influence, youth support, and voter frustration.

UPDATES:.

• If TVK forms the government, BJP could gain indirect influence in Tamil Nadu through Vijay and his administration.

Right now, the entire situation almost feels like:

TVK vs DMK-ADMK alliance — while BJP benefits no matter who wins.

That is why some people believe BJP’s long-term goal may not be to directly rule Tamil Nadu, but instead to slowly gain influence through alliances, pressure, or indirect political control.

CURRENT SITUATION;

TVK has now formed the government, but I still feel this entire situation may have been politically anticipated by BJP leaders.

Notice how rumours about a possible DMK-AIADMK understanding spread across Tamil Nadu, and many people reacted strongly by saying they would not support either party again if they aligned with BJP for power. Public opinion clearly showed that such a move would damage both parties politically.

Because of this, some people believe BJP may have realized that directly pushing alliances in Tamil Nadu could create backlash among voters. According to this theory, supporting the rise of TVK indirectly would be politically safer and more beneficial in the long term than openly depending on alliances that people already distrusted.

Again, these are political observations and personal theories based on recent events and patterns. They are not proven facts.

If Vijay genuinely governs independently, protects Tamil Nadu’s interests, and refuses political pressure from BJP, then I would happily accept being wrong.
