How do you deal with guilt?

I've done things I am not proud of, I know Jesus died for my sins and that He loves me no matter what. The thing is, a few years back, I acted out with anger in my heart. Today is a tough day, I've started acting out of anger again lately and I've been bedridden with guilt. I don't want to eat, I don't want to drink, I don't want to do anything because the guilt is eating me alive. The anger is always justified because it happens when I abused, but the way I act afterwards is just not good for my soul and others'. I just can't stand how cruel the world is.
