Puck Screen

I recently started using a puck screen. Can’t say that I’ve really seen a miraculous difference in the cup, but I have definitely seen that it keeps my shower screen much much much cleaner. Almost to the point where there’s no residue on it after I pull a shot. So that’s nice.

when I go to clean out the portafilter and dump the puck, I don’t wanna bang it into the knock box cause then I gotta go rooting around in it for the screen. I’ve been using a crab fork meat picker outer to poke down on it and lift it up and grab it, but the damn thing is pretty hot at that point.

I tried a magnet, but apparently the puck screen I ordered is aluminum, So that didn’t work.

What do you all do?
