Here’s a simple newborn baby checklist that helped me focus on essentials instead of overbuying:

• Onesies & soft baby clothes
• Swaddles & blankets
• Diapers & wipes
• Bibs & burp cloths
• Feeding bottles
• Baby towels & bath products
• Crib/bassinet essentials

One thing I’d definitely recommend is choosing soft, breathable fabrics like cotton or muslin for daily wear. Babies stay much more comfortable in lightweight clothes.
