SimpCity aren’t doing a purge they’re just braindead

Ive been seeing this theory that SimpCity are doing an account purge because server upkeep is too expensive. No, thats giving too much credit to their devs because:

1. They should have absolutely no issues profiting from their website. They can easily afford upkeep alone off simply adding a btc donations bar.

2. Trimming about >2% (random estimable) of the community by arbitrarily disappearing accounts is not going to really make their server costs cheaper.

3. If they really wanted to purge, they could just target all the leeches. Leeching is already a bannable offense, literally all they have to do is ban accounts that don’t post content. Two birds one stone - more content gets posted and easily the majority of created accounts are banned.

4. They only lost google logins because they lost third party auth since it’s an illegal website lol. They didn’t get rid of it on purpose.

5. They’ve consistently demonstrated incompetency when it comes to server maintenance. Their backend is terrible. Features constantly break, like to view liked posts, use the search bar, email recovery - and take forever to be fixed again

They aren’t doing a purge they’re just braindead.
