Forgiving BM?

Has your partners BM ever said something untrue and unforgivable attacking your character? This recently happened to me 2 days ago for the first time. We had a pretty good friendship before, so it truly caught me off guard but now I do not want to talk to her ever again and hopefully never see her again. I know that sounds immature but what she said was insanely awful. How do you deal?
